Los Angeles Lakers: LeBron and the bench bully the Bulls, 5 lessons
By Ronald Agers
Quinn was “Cook”ing and it seems Alex Caruso makes an important steal almost every game it seems.
If Dwight Howard is impressing the fans with his play in the frontcourt, Alex Caruso is doing the exact same thing in the backcourt. His impact is not going to show up in the box scores like the end of the last year. He is playing solid defense and allowing Frank Vogel to have another option as a ball handler.
Plus, aren’t plays like this becoming a trend every game?
A huge steal from Zach LaVine and scoring the layup while drawing the foul basically took the life out of the Bulls. But this steal is evidence of how hard Caruso is working on defense. He is not cheating by laying on the pick or going under it to give LaVine the advantage to go to the rim. He sticks his hand in the passing lane and makes the steal.
Finally, let’s talk about Quinn Cook. He was a knockdown shooter that helped LeBron James close the game out.
After not scoring one point in ten minutes against the Spurs, Cook bounced back to score a season-high 17 points including eight in the final quarter. He was part of the bench’s big run when LeBron and AD were on the bench. He knocked down a huge 3-point shot while being fouled by Coby White giving the Lakers their first lead in the second half.
Then he basically told the United Center crowd to be quiet knocking this shot down with an assist from LeBron James.

When this team starts hitting on all cylinders, the rest of the NBA had better watch out. All of these guys can play. If one player is having an off night, someone else steps right in and the rain keeps right on rolling. A special shout out to Lakers head coach Frank Vogel, he is doing a masterful job of making adjustments at halftime.
Finally, there was an incident where a heckler got smoked by LeBron James.
Hopefully, this is an isolated incident. With all of the issues in the past couple of years, both parties need to be careful. There are children at these games and no one wants an escalated incident where things get out of hand,
