6. Anthony Davis

The second-best Laker happens to also be the league’s best big man. That is, Anthony Davis. Lakers fans can’t wait to watch the Brow and King James take their team to the promised land, which wasn’t the case at all last season for the purple and gold.

Despite being limited to playing extremely low minutes after requesting a trade last season, Davis somehow put together regular-season averages of roughly 26 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and 2.5 blocks last season. This isn’t new for the now 26-year-old big man, however, as this past season marks his fifth consecutive of averaging over 24 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots per game.

AD doesn’t possess many flaws; he can play off-the-ball and on-the-ball offensively, shoot, and protect the rim better than anyone. What Davis does lack is winning experience, which he’ll have to get used to pretty quickly this season.

AD is also one of the more injury-prone players in the league, despite remaining rather healthy for the past few seasons.

Davis is a dominant force and still hasn’t reached his full potential. Stopping him from a position in the NBA’s top five players are his winning shortcomings and the fact that the NBA is a guard’s league. Look for AD to try to creep his way into the top five this season.
