JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard, when they are both playing well, are illegal!
Against the Phoenix Suns, the Lakers were exposed as their big men made an impact knocking down 3 point shots. That might be the only chance that opponents have to counter the Los Angeles Lakers version of the “Twin Towers”.
Well, the Golden State Warriors do not have any stretch fives. So the Warriors did not fare well in this game. Like at all. If you don’t believe this report, just look at Klay Thompson‘s face while JaVale McGee slam-dunked over the Warriors inferior front line. By then Los Angeles had extended its lead to 27 points. This dunk highlighted a 14-5 opening run.

On a rare night when JaVale McGee got extra minutes, he didn’t disappoint. In 28 minutes, McGee ran over Golden State with 18 points, 17 rebounds (5 offensive), two assists, three blocks and three steals. He had a game-high plus/minus ratio of +30.
When he sat down, the Warriors got no rest as Dwight Howard came in and kept things moving. Howard was in foul trouble, but he scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
What’s good about these two is they really support one another. When one is on the floor, the other is on the bench cheering the other on. Both of these two have sacrificed for the good of the team. McGee has had his minutes decline at times due to Howard’s inspiring play, but he recognizes that this could be a special season that could end up with a championship.
Howard is a changed man. Up until this point, what he told the Lakers brass about wanting to be a part of the team has been the truth. After the game, he spoke out to Lakers fans to lay off of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (More on that later!) and support him.
This team is getting closer and closer and a major reason is because of these two.
