3. The Los Angles Lakers set a season-high for 3-pointer’s in a game, shooting 17-31 (54.8%)

After getting off to a slow start from beyond the arc to start the season, the Lakers are now riding a positive trend of shooting the ball extremely well from outside. In the past three games, the Lakers are now shooting 46-of-97 from three which is an awesome 47.4%!

Those are very satisfying numbers to look at considering the Lakers were one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the league last year even with LeBron James creating all those open shots.

This year those shots are falling and that’s part of the reason you see the 4-time MVP’s assist numbers rise this year. That and well, you know this kind of useful guy named Anthony Davis is finishing some of those passes in all sorts of ways.

AD also started slowly from behind the arc this season but has been hot these past two games against the Thunder shooting 7-of12 from three. Two of the four 3’s he hit tonight were 4-point plays, which were absolutely crucial for momentum.

They were also the first and second 4-point plays of Davis’ career as pointed out by Dave Mcmenamin of ESPN on twitter.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope continued his excellent play as of late shooting 4-of-5 from outside the arc. After a terrible start to the season that had Lakers fans demanding him to be cut or traded, he has been outstanding, providing the Lakers with a knockdown shooter and a solid defender on the other end.

Danny “Deadshot” Green also hit four threes, if the Lakers can continue to space the floor for Lebron and AD, the ceiling of this team could be even higher than most thought.
