1. Quinn Cook has been below what the Lakers should expect of him lately
Besides the game against his former team in the Warriors, in which he scored 10 points on 5-of-11 from the field, Quinn Cook has scored two points vs. the Kings, three points vs. the Suns, another two points vs. the Hawks and a combined five points in these past two games vs. the Thunder.
He is also only shooting 9-of-28 (32.1%) from 3 so far. This is a far cry from the 42% he averaged over his two years as a Warrior, and it’s not like he hasn’t gotten good looks. He missed two huge momentum-killing 3’s that allowed the Thunder to get back into the game Tuesday in LA.
Cook is already a liability on defense due to his small stature so he needs to get his shooting back to its usual level or he is going to lose his minutes, especially since Alex Caruso has been playing well on both ends of the floor so far this year, as shown in this effort play he made here in the first quarter:

The Lakers are back at it to continue their 4-game road trip against the young star Ja Morant and his Memphis Grizzlies. You can catch all the analysis for that game right here at the Lake Show Life.
