LeBron James may be this season’s version of Shaquille O’Neal!

Back in 2018, LeBron’s last season in Cleveland, former Cavs head coach, Tyronn Lue compared James to Shaquille O’Neal when it came to the lack of foul calls because their power makes the fouls they took lacked any effect.

Shaquille O’Neal was the most dominant player of his era that no one could stop. Kobe Bryant made headlines over how many championships the Lakers could have had if he was focused.

We see the power here. But he took a lot of punishment as well. Shaq would complain at times about the lack of calls he got. But one night in Chicago, Brad Miller almost lost his face, career, consciousness and to be totally honest his life had Shaq landed this punch.

Eventually, LeBron James will get frustrated by the lack of calls and go off. Unlike last year, he has players that will lay the wood to opposing teams. Dwight Howard can give a hard foul or two. Jared Dudley said on press day earlier that he had no problems dropping a fine or two.

Then there’s Rajon Rondo. Any more questions? What the NBA is going to have to look at is finding a proper balance. Harden’s trips to the line are already a frustrating issue for the NBA in general. LeBron James is a human being like anyone else. It only takes one bad day and an incident can occur. What if a hard foul injures James based on how the Lakers are performing right now?

Let’s look at the team right now based on LeBron’s career.
