4. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has gotten on track

To say that Los Angeles Lakers fans were tired of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope at the beginning of the season would be an understatement. Fans were ready to pack his bags and purchase a plane ticket out of town.

KCP didn’t allow the negativity to affect him and Frank Vogel remained confident in him. It is a good thing that he has because Caldwell-Pope has begun playing some really good basketball as of late.

As a starter, he has been playing very well and that continued during the road trip. Caldwell-Pope it out there in the starting five to spread the court, and that is exactly what he is doing. In the four games, he is shooting 11-of-20 from the 3-point line. That takes a lot of pressure off of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, as opponents cannot afford to double-team them and leave KCP open behind the arc.

This is an encouraging development for the Georgia product. With how streaky he has been during his Lakers career, hopefully this is an extended hot streak.
