2.) Defend the 3-point shot

The Utah Jazz are currently ranked 5th in the league in three-point field goal percentage, hitting them at a 38% clip. Most of these makes have come from their new free agent acquisition Bojan Bogdanovic, who has been the team’s leader in attempts, makes, and accuracy.

But beyond Bogdanovic, the Jazz have a number of solid three point shooters in Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley, Royce O’Neal, and Joe Ingles, all of whom can get hot from beyond the arc on any given night.

The Lakers perimeter players will need a repeat performance of last night’s effort in Denver, where they limited the Nuggets to 20.7% from three, doing so with active communication, strong closeouts, and all around effort.

However, even though the Jazz are one of the best in terms of accuracy from three, it should be noted that they only rank 21st in total attempts. So the Lakers just need to make sure that the few shots they do take, are well defended.
