Los Angeles Lakers: 3 Lessons from the win against Utah Jazz
By Ronald Agers
Rajon Rondo made history and Kyle Kuzma might have found his niche for the Los Angeles Lakers
Lake Show Life has been critical of Rajon Rondo’s play of late going back before LeBron’s explosion during Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks. He has played better since and he was rewarded.
Rajon Rondo hit LeBron James on what was seeming one of the 750 back door plays the Lakers ran to place himself in 17th position on the NBA’s All-Time list.
Rajon Rondo easily had his most efficient game of the season nearly notching a triple double with 14 points, 12 assists and 9 rebounds. This is the Rondo that the Lakers need. Just read what the defense gives him and make the right play.
It does wonders for the turnover column. Rondo only had two.
A special shout out to Dwight Howard. Along with his shot from distance, he is now 16th on the NBA’s All-Time list for blocked shots. He should pass the late Manute Bol by next week.
Finally Kyle Kuzma. One, he can’t catch a break. He got hit in his injured eye at the end of the game with about 30 seconds to go. Time to start thinking goggles Kuz.
Two, he reminds me a little bit of former NFL player Cris Carter. Back in the day on ESPN, Chris Berman and Tom Jackson would always joke “All he does is catch touchdowns!”
Well it seems all Kyle Kuzma does is hit buzzer beaters!

Kyle Kuzma is starting to put together a long list of buzzer beaters that go back to last year. He is not afraid to lose points off of his field goal percentage. Up until the last moments of the game that provided the most entertainment when he had two blocks late, he was not playing well.
He scored 13 points in the game but shot 4-of-11 from the field and 2-of-7 from the line. He needs to have hustle plays in the trenches to build his confidence of belonging on the floor with the stars. The adjustment is tough for Kuz and he is trying. Hopefully he can get healthy to put everything together.
The Los Angeles Lakers face Carmelo Anthony and the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night.
