Kyle O’Quinn
This is a move for both the 76ers and Lakers that would be small. But could work for both teams with players getting fresh starts. A simple Jared Dudley for Kyle O’Quinn swap.
The move helps the 76ers get a little shooting and the Lakers get a good locker room guy and a physical presence. Dudley has been buried on the depth chart in Los Angeles and the team has plenty of shooting.
Dudley is currently playing in seven minutes per game and has taken the floor for only 14 of 23 games. O’Quinn is playing in 9.2 minutes per game and he as well is racking up DNP’s only playing in 13 games.
Both guys are end-of-rotation bodies, but one that would be pretty 50/50 at this point. Two veterans switching spots, helping a team in an area that they could use a little more help.
If the deal doesn’t work on the Lakers’ end they could offer Troy Daniels instead of Dudley. But the team looks to be a lot higher on Daniels then Dudley.
Both teams would have to wait until December 15th to make a deal. Maybe each GM sees a benefit in swapping veterans to help each other fill out their roster better.
