2.) Get out in transition

In addition to being a terrible rim protecting team, the Heat are also one of the worst at defending transition opportunities, ranking 27th in the league in terms of opponent frequency. To make matters worse for the Heat, LeBron James and Anthony Davis are well on their well to developing their outlet pass chemistry, an essential part to any transition offense.

You sometimes get the feeling you’re watching an NFL game with how good the connection between these two are, with James possessing the accuracy and arm strength of Patrick Mahomes, and Davis being able to catch these passes in stride for easy buckets like he’s DeAndre Hopkins.

Normally the Lakers aren’t a transition heavy team, as their roster skews on the older side and as a result, is less inclined to get out and run. But with skilled passers like LeBron, and hopefully Rajon Rondo if he’s healthy, there shouldn’t be too much need to expend energy since these two are so good at hitting the open man in transition.
