Highs and Lows
Highs
The Lakers continued to dominate defensively as they ranked top-5 in blocks and steals for the week. The team also recorded a season-high 14 steals in their win against Atlanta.
Aside from the intensity on the defensive end, LA was also active on the glass as they ranked top-3 in offensive and total rebounds for the week. LeBron and crew also recorded their season-high 56 rebounds in their victory against the Hawks.
Lows
Los Angeles has been spectacular on both ends of the floor this season, but last season’s Achilles heel seemed to creep up on the team this week.
The Lakers struggled heavily from the free-throw line as they shot 62.9 percent for the week – second-lowest in the league during that span. The team also shot its second-worst percentage from the line in their win against the Magic – 52.6 percent.
In addition to their free-throw disappointment, LA also struggled with turnovers. During the week, the Lakers posted the second-highest number of turnovers per game with 18.3. The team recorded their highest and second-highest turnover totals in their wins against Miami and Atlanta.
