Los Angeles Lakers lose two streaks vs. Indiana Pacers, 4 lessons

Dwight Howard needs his contract guaranteed ASAP.
Lake Show Life is working on an in-depth feature on Dwight Howard’s short tenure in a Lakers uniform, but the man has done enough. Guarantee his contract for the rest of the season. If this game doesn’t convince Rob Pelinka, nothing will.
One of the main reasons the Los Angeles Lakers were competitive in this game was the energy and drive of Dwight Howard. This play right here shows how hard the man wants to win and how much he means to the Lakers.
Dwight Howard is basically by himself in the paint with count’em FOUR PACERS in the paint fighting for the rebound. Not only does he grabs the board, but he also muscles up a shot with the left hand for the basket and a trip to the line. We’ll get to the free throws in a minute.
Howard did not miss from the field. The man hit all ten of his shots to score a season-high 20 points. He filled out the rest of the box scores with six rebounds (two offensive!) and two blocks. At this point, the Lakers need to reward Dwight Howard for his play up to this point.
Lake Show Life was first to speak out for him before he was signed in the offseason. Dwight made his plea, he kept his promise.
This is really all Dwight Howard has to do on the offensive end. Set strong picks, which is the reason why he gets a lot of fouls. Some are actually from illegal picks. Roam around the basket and tear the rim down.
To anyone that believes the Malcolm Brogdon lay-up was Howard’s fault, look again. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope did not close on the weak side of the basket.

Even though Brogdon scored, Dwight still played good defense. He just didn’t get any help from his teammates.
The Los Angeles Lakers took Lake Show Life’s advice (Even down to the non-guaranteed contract on page 5!) and put Howard on the roster. Now the Lakers heed another piece of advice from Lake Show Life.
Guarantee Dwight Howard’s contract for the rest of the season.
