Los Angeles Lakers lose two streaks vs. Indiana Pacers, 4 lessons

To all the people who are underestimating AD’s worth to this team needs to watch this game. He’s worth everything the Lakers gave up for him.

Anthony Davis has a season-long catalog at this point showing his skill set and out of this world talent. What gets lost is how he makes the game so much easier for his teammates. Yes, that includes LeBron.

The Lakers lost this game basically because they couldn’t shoot the basketball. Shooting 8-of-31 (25.8%) from the 3-point line will lose you some games down the line. Wanna talk about this free throw situation?

The Los Angeles Lakers shot an absurd 8-of-17 from the line. That adds up to 47%. This just into Lake Show Life, that’s terrible.

Defensively, AD presence was missed as well. Especially on the boards. The Lakers were outrebounded 43-42. The presence of Domantas Sabonis hurt has he scored 25 points with 10 rebounds (four offensive!) and four assists. Instead of dealing with two big bodies with McGee/Howard and AD, the Pacers took advantage of his absence.

Let’s all remember that this loss is not the end of the world, considering the Lakers are still tied with Milwaukee for the best record in the NBA. Hopefully, fans are not buying into breaking the Warriors 73 win regular-season record.

The Pacers are the real deal. It’s just that these issues better clean up nice by the time they take on the Bucks to close out their current road trip on Thursday. If not, the goal of not losing two games in a row will fall by the wayside.

Lakers Nation lost a special lady in JoAnn Buss this week. She was the mother of Jeanie Buss. As you can see above, LeBron James sent his well wishes. It is especially difficult to lose a parent in any circumstance, but at the Holiday season, it just makes things that much harder.

Rest In Peace to Ms. JoAnn Buss. It’s wonderful that the team you helped build is back on top once again.
