The Los Angeles Lakers know good and well they are not cutting Dwight Howard in three weeks!

The calendar year 2019 is almost over and Dwight Howard in some aspects is having a career year on a championship-contending team.

The cutoff date for contracts being guaranteed is January 10, 2020, meaning all players still under contract will have their salaries fully guaranteed for the rest of the 2019/20 season. Dwight Howard has done some questionable things in his career but he’s not going Antonio Brown anytime soon.

Plus look at the dominating performances outside of the Pacers game this year. Remember when he dominated the Charlotte Hornets hitting all of his 8 shots producing a double-double?

16 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks is a pretty good night. Especially when LeBron James had an uneven night while AD had injured his shoulder that night. His contribution was a key part to the Lakers winning that night.

The San Antonio Spurs game should have cemented his guaranteed contract. After being heckled by fans, Dwight took it back to his Orlando days.

Dwight Howard hooked up with Avery Bradley in an alley-oop dunk that destroyed Jakob Poeltl under the rim.

Superman was back in the building that night in crunch time.  For the rest of the night, the Spurs saw plays from Dwight time after time. From that moment on, the Spurs were intimidated by Dwight Howard’s intensity and anger. When he wasn’t dunking one everybody, he was trying to block every Spurs shot at the rim.

Dwight Howard is not going to ask so Lake Show Life do it for him. We are on record telling the Lakers to do themselves a favor and sign Dwight Howard. Now we are on record asking the Lakers to do Dwight Howard a favor and guarantee his contract.
