Develop his 3-point shot again

Troy Daniels was brought to the Lakers this offseason on veteran’s minimum deal. He was signed to be a 3-point shooter on a contender. The Lakers made a concerted effort to surround their superstar duo with more shooting to space out the floor.

His signing has yet to pan out as he has struggled to get on the court for any consistent time. Playing in 21 games this year, his minutes have been erratic as he is playing 13.8 minutes per game. His numbers across the board have dipped even with the amount of space he’s had to shoot.

Armed with a career shooting line of .400/.397/.806, he has done quite well in his career being a 3-point specialist. But this year his line sits at .368/.343/.571. He is simply struggling and doesn’t have much confidence at the moment.

He’s been a sharpshooter in his career and has good averages from beyond the 3-point line. So we know the talent is there, he just needs to put it together and gain his confidence back. Hopefully, 2020 is a fresh start and he can reinvent his old self.
