More minutes

Lakers fans love Alex Caruso! The energy and spark he brings every single night, provides much more then what his stat line shows. He doesn’t put up big numbers on a nightly basis, but he’s an energy spark.

When teams start to lose energy or look to be disconnected in a game, it’s good to have someone like Caruso. He ignites the crowd and the team feeds off of it. To his high flying dunks, to his pest defense, Caruso is carving out a role in the league and fans are loving every minute of it.

The stats also speak for themselves about the impact he is having while on the floor. According to advanced stats, Caruso has an offensive rating of 108.3 and a defensive rating of 96.4. That is good enough for a +11.9 net-rating, which is considered elite.

Playing in 27 games at 20.4 minutes per night, it’s not just a fluke either. He is gradually getting more minutes and continuing to thrive in those minutes. It’s been a boost for this team that is still finding their full identity and how they will fill out their roster later in the season.

The bald mamba needs to continue his efficient play on the court. If he does he will continue to push Frank Vogel’s hands and earn himself 25 minutes per night come April.
