If Kyle Kuzma wants to stay a Laker past February, he’d better distance himself quick!

According to 247Sports, Kuzma and Parks have been connected for years, going back to his college days at Utah. Here’s what Parks said in an interview about his history with Kuzma.

"“Kuz ended up reaching out to me during his redshirt year. He heard about my work with Kawhi Leonard and Tony Snell, and wanted to start working with me because he felt he was similar to them. So, our relationship has just grown from his redshirt year and we continue to work together, and as he’s doing well, it’s helped me and I’ve had opportunities to work with a lot of really good players,” Clint Parks said in an interview with UteZone."

Now here’s where it gets good. Parks also mentioned that he started an AAU team that included Kawhi Leonard. Based on the tweet below, LeBron James is not the first franchise player to get unsolicited talent commentary.

Last year when Kawhi was in Toronto, Clint Parks put in his two cents.

Were the statements from Parks a product of Kyle Kuzma being frustrated? Kuzma discussed his struggles with Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

"“I’m just being patient. Obviously, coming in, I knew I had to sacrifice a lot. It’s kind of hard sometimes being a young player and you see other young players [around the league] that you think you are better than in better [playing] situations,” “But I just got great vets around me that keep me centered and chill. I have a chance to win a championship in my third year. I can do whatever I want after winning one. I’m just being positive. “For me, you’re not going to get the same touches, same shots and same vibe on the court. It’s something you really have to adjust and adapt to certain things. We live in a society where everybody wants you be to great now and every time out. But it’s going to take time.”"

Whatever the circumstance, Clint Parks burned the biggest bridge in the NBA and salted the Earth for good measure. History shows that bad comments on LeBron James don’t go over well.

No matter how bad the last 10 seconds looked a few days ago.

Remember the David Griffin comment that had him on every ESPN NBA show the next day? He’s a respected NBA GM that built a championship team. Did anyone know Clint Parks before Friday? The bottom line, one of the main reasons why the Los Angeles Lakers had a great start was the lack of distractions. Now they have them in spades.

In short, Clint Parks is buzzard meat. If Kuz doesn’t get rid of him, he’ll be the tasty side dish.
