– Win the West

As the calendar turns over, the Los Angeles Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference. Seeing the Lakers on top of the conference at this point might come as a surprise to some considering how much turnover there was on in the coaching staff and on the roster.

While the Lakers are off to a great start, they have lost to the Los Angeles Clippers twice already this season. With the Clippers potentially being the main competition for the Lakers in the conference, the Lakers surely would have liked to win their recent game on Christmas against them.

For Davis, he has been in the playoffs a few time with the Pelicans, but has only been past the first round once in his career, Hopefully, Davis will be making it past the first round this season, but he very well could be playing in uncharted waters this season.

The Lakers do have a lot of veterans with title experience on the roster around him, but Davis will obviously continue to have a huge role. Even though the Pelicans didn’t have much success in the playoffs, Davis played quite well in his small sample size of playoff games.

As the Lakers look like a team that can win a title, Davis’ No.1 resolution for 2020 should be to win the West. With James and the rest of the roster, this is Davis’ best chance to make his mark in the playoffs.
