1.) Contain Devin Booker

Devin Booker is having himself a year, averaging 24.7 points and 6.4 assists on 50/36/90 shooting splits. Some of this is due in part to playing next to a true point guard in Ricky Rubio, which has allowed Booker to play more off-ball, and reduced the burden placed on him to create on offense every single possession.

At the end of the day, Booker is still the Suns only reliable source of offense at the moment, as Deandre Ayton is still coming back from his ankle injury and on a minutes limit, and players like Kelly Oubre Jr., and Dario Saric lack the ability to create their own shot.

When it comes to stifling the Sun’s offense, the buck stops at Booker, so the Laker wing defenders need to put the pressure on him, and make him give up the ball. Since Rubio isn’t a huge threat as a shooter, his man can sag off of him and provide help defense elsewhere, which absolutely should be channeled towards Booker, who is a threat to score from anywhere.
