Kentavious Caldwell-Pope needs to start if AD does not get back for the Rockets game and a message for Dwight Howard.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope played a great game for the Lakers, scoring 17 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. He combined with Quinn Cook and Troy Daniels to engineer the huge 22-2 run to end the 3rd quarter to pull his team within one to start the 4th.

He knocked down huge 3-pointers at important times to keep the game close when things were going back and forth. He looked confident and engaged in the game, something Kyle Kuzma was not. More than likely, Davis will be back in the lineup in Houston, but if he does not return, KCP has earned his starting spot back. He is the most consistent shooter on the team and against the Rockets, the Lakers need him.

Finally, Lake Show Life is starting to notice something about Dwight Howard. His bad habits are starting to seep back in. He has to play basketball and stop complaining to the referees. He gets caught committing bad fouls and they really are not necessary.

Even though he scored 9 points and owned the boards with 16 rebounds (8 offensive which is a ton!), his uneven play and lack of focus in this area allowed JaVale McGee to finish the game. It ended up hurting the Lakers because McGee allowed too many offensive rebounds late and had defensive lapses that cost the game. Come on Dwight, the contract is guaranteed now. Don’t start relaxing now.

Finally, Lake Show Life wants to send a shout out to a young lady that dropped a couple of 3 point shots late in a challenge.

Are you busy Saturday night? The Los Angeles Lakers might need to sign her to a 10-day contract.

The Lakers play a nationally televised game on ABC on Saturday. Lake Show Life will have the post game report ready the next day.
