He might not get the award, but Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is making a case for NBA’s Most Improved Player.

To think some of these Lakers fans wanted this guy out-of-town with the quickness.  Does anybody want him gone now? Okay Lake Show Life wouldn’t have minded either after KCP’s first two games when he scored like just one point.

But thanks to the faith of Frank Vogel, some defense of Dwight Howard and Alex Caruso on social media and Lake Show Life basically asking fans to support the guy (We agreed with the fans, It was just he wasn’t going to be traded. What was there to lose?), KCP is now one of the consistent contributors on this team. It’s true.

Caldwell-Pope continued his strong play scoring 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting. He grabbed 3 rebounds (2 offensive!), has 4 assists, 2 steals and a block. He led the team in plus/minus with a +20.

But it’s the confidence he has right now that is totally shocking right now. Just look at the read right here with this alley oop to LeBron James.

Having the presence of mind to see LeBron streaking to the basket while grabbing the rebound and hitting him with a perfect pass almost seamlessly.

But this play right here. This dude is in a complete zone right now. This explains the headline on this page.

Now remember, KCP got hung on the rim missing a dunk getting chased down in the loss to Orlando. To have a top shot blocker like Clint Capela smile and say cheese on a dunk shows the confidence KCP is rolling with now.

This is the dude that air-balled a layup? Shot a wedgie from 3 feet? Kentavious Caldwell-Pope?

From Lake Show Life to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, you should be proud overcoming the adversity this year. It is inspiring.
