– Bring the defensive intensity

So far this season, the Los Angeles Lakers have been one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. The defense of the Lakers has resulted in them winning a lot of games, but it has been a little inconsistent of late.

Against the Brooklyn Nets, the Lakers did not start out strong on the defensive end. The Lakers allowed the most points they have all season in a first half, but they locked in during the second half against Brooklyn.

Ideally, the Lakers would have played a bit more defense in the first half against the Nets, but their success on the offensive end of the court covered up their mistakes. Against the 76ers, the Lakers are not going to be able to get away with a bad half of defense like they did against the Nets.

Since the 76ers are without a few key offensive weapons, the Lakers should be able to focus on Ben Simmons, Al Horford and Tobias Harris. If the Lakers are able to shut these three down on the defensive end of the court, they should have an easy time winning this game. However, playing solid defense for 48 minutes would go a long way towards helping them win.
