1. Wesley Iwundu

I have mentioned Wesley Iwundu in the past as a trade target for the Lakers. I believe he is not a good fit for the Orlando Magic. But, a change of scenery to a team that has better players around him could put him on an upward trend.

He is a wing player, he provides great length and has started games in this league. He has good energy and he won’t be asked to do much for the Lakers. He won’t start or be put in positions that will be out of his comfort zone.

The Lakers have a good coaching staff that will be able to maximize his strengths. He was also coached by Vogel when he was a rookie in Orlando. Vogel preaches defense and he has graded out very well on the defensive end in his career.

He has struggled to shoot the ball this year. But LeBron James is one of the best players in the league at pinpointing guys in their hot spots. He could thrive in that role and being around two superstars could rejuvenate his year.

It would take Daniels and a pick to get Iwundu, but a second-round pick and Daniels is more than worth it. You buy low on a guy with great athleticism that could easily bounce back and turn into a great rotation player.

Despite the inconsistencies, he has shown potential and is still very young. It’s worth the chance if you look at what he has shown, rather then just look at his stat line. Perfect opportunity to get a good talented, young kid, without giving up anything that will hurt you.

The Magic currently sit in the eighth seed in the East. They’re the fifth-worst 3-point shooting team at 33.8%. Daniels could help improve that mark for them.
