Lakers rumors are heating up now that we are one day closer to the NBA’s trade deadline on Thursday. Lake Show Life breaks down the three players closely linked to Kyle Kuzma in trade rumors. Like for now. Presenting the three players that are in the Lakers rumors until Thursday at the latest.
This week represents the second of the four most exciting periods of the NBA season with Los Angeles Lakers rumors getting louder and louder.
It might seem glamorous at times, but Lakers rumors can be just as big of a grind for the NBA writers as the players. The NBA trade deadline is exciting because the player carousel goes around and around until Thursday February 6th. Plus, fans get to filter reports to see who really knows what is going on in the NBA and who is chasing clout.
That is why Kyle Kuzma and a few staffers are anxiously waiting to see if Kuzma will have a new team to represent by this weekend.
Kuz probably wouldn’t want to leave the top team in the Western Conference where the weather is as nice as the team’s conference road winning streak. All the while numerous predictions (One of them was strongly challenged!) came from Lake Show Life that no matter what the goes down with Lakers rumors, Kyle Kuzma will not be leaving this year. Now the offseason? We’ll cross the bridge when we get there.
Until then, there is less than one day until the Feb. 6 NBA trade deadline. Lake Show Life will continue to give the fans the up to date events on all things Kyle Kuzma. Despite our projections, whether or not the Los Angeles Lakers trade Kuzma remains one of the hottest NBA stories going on right now.
To understand this concept to decipher what is real info and what is considered to many as “clickbait”, let’s check out the mission statement on what the Lakers are looking for as the deadline approaches. ESPN’s Zach Lowe had his take on the situation earlier this week.
"The Lakers have investigated the market on Kyle Kuzma, per sources and prior reports. They have poked around on a long list of ball handlers. It will be interesting to see if the Lakers attempt to somehow acquire another salary in the $12 million range which they then use in a trade for a higher-priced guy, Iguodala or someone else."
Lake Show Life has a laundry list of potential players the Los Angeles Lakers have been looking into. Those players are below.
Lakers Rumors: Iguodala out at Golden State, Lakers possible option?
Lakers Rumors: Western Conference to keep Andre Iguodala from Lakers?
Lakers Rumors: Darren Collison considers a return to Lakers or Clippers
Lakers Rumors: Los Angeles interested in acquiring Derrick Rose.
Lakers rumors: 3 reasons Derrick Rose for Alex Caruso wasn’t happening!
Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Team packaging a Kyle Kuzma deal for Robert Covington? More on him later.
Then the Lakers rumors got so out of control, Lake Show Life wondered if Lakers Nation should even believe the reports.
Lakers Rumors: Should Lakers Nation believe these trade rumors or not?
Lakers Rumors: Should Lakers Nation believe these Kyle Kuzma rumors?
The NBA’s top insider, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN offered clarity on his latest episode of “The Woj Pod”, about how difficult the negotiations would be for both sides.
"“I think with Kuzma, with Kyle Kuzma they have talked, they have listened. I think his contract makes it hard, he’s just making over $2 million… It makes it hard to make the money work on a trade somewhere, because how do you make it work with him financially? If you’re trading for an established veteran player, you assume he’s making a lot more than $2 million… You never know, but right now I think the idea of maybe having to gut their depth a little bit to trade for one guy, it may not make sense for them. And maybe is only a marginal improvement over what they have in Kuzma anyway.”"
In short, Rob Pelinka is doing his job by fielding calls about potential offers but is in no rush to make deals just to say a deal was made.
Remember what happened at the trade deadline last year? Everyone was so excited over the Anthony Davis saga that Lake Show Life was adamant to report wasn’t coming to fruition. What did they end up with at the end? Reggie Bullock and Mike Muscala.
The main thing to digest here is the Lakers want ballhandlers. They don’t need to trade Kuz if Darren Collison, chooses the Lakers around the NBA All-Star break.
But alas, let’s look at the players around the NBA connected to Kyle Kuzma in trade rumors for now.

Marcus Morris is possibly on the move after yet another Knicks debacle.
Lake Show Life has a follow-up to our breaking news on the New York Knicks. They still are a dumpster fire, but now they are starting to embarrass the NBA in the process.
David Fizdale is probably the happiest unemployed head coach in NBA history. The Knicks got in a fight after being blown out by the Memphis Grizzlies. The fans filled the Madison Square Garden with chants of “Sell the team” to James Dolan.
Lake Show Life likes to believe that we have the smartest fans in Lakers Nation. Do you really think the Lakers will trade Kyle Kuzma for Marcus Morris? After this incident?
After watching this video, do you really think the Lakers will trade Kyle Kuzma? Really? Seriously?
This will be the easiest of the Lakers rumors to figure out. The New York Knicks initiated these talks.
Knicks have had exploratory conversations on Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

It’s not hard to figure out why. The team just fired their President of Basketball Operations, Steve Mills who was hell-bent on not trading Morris at the deadline.
The Knicks are firing Steve Mills, source says.

Rob Pelinka does not need help in these negotiations, but if the name RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson are not attached to this conversation, more than likely he hung up the phone laughing.
Marcus Morris has made it clear he would like to stay in New York. You would too if you averaged 18 points with an understood green light on any shot you wanted.

Two Lakers rumors for the price of one! The Sacramento Kings offered Nemanja Bjelica, the Lakers wanted Bogdan Bogdanovic!
The Kings offered Nemanja Bjelica and a pick to the Lakers for Kyle Kuzma about a week ago. Not surprisingly the Lakers said no and asked about Bogdan Bogdanovic. Sacramento said no.
If you are a Lakers fan, be thankful. If you are Rob Pelinka, realize that this deal would have been a joke.
Bogdanovic will be a restricted free agent this summer and probably will command an offer sheet in the $15 million to $25 million range per year. If this is an issue for the Sacramento Kings, just think about the problem that it would potentially bring for the Lakers?
Maybe the strange moves of the Sacramento Kings showed their hand. They are cap-strapped and are looking to unload salary. After stinking up the joint in December that continued through with a six-game losing streak in January, the decision was made to showcase players.
It seems strange that Luke Walton allows Bogdan Bogdanovic to start and move Buddy Hield, a guy the team just signed for $86 million, to the bench. Finally, did anyone see the game last weekend?
Here’s what the Kings are selling:
Bogdan Bogdanovic has the skills and big-game experience from playing internationally to help a team make a deep playoff run. In other words, he is a poor man’s Luka Doncic. In the short-term for the Lakers, he’d be an excellent sixth man who can run the second unit. Then in the future, he can be a future asset because he can score and facilitate using pick-and-rolls and isolations.
Bogdan has been a clutch player for years in various European leagues, winning a EuroLeague championship with Fenerbahce in 2017 while contributing to Serbia’s fifth-place finish at the World Cup. He’s a two-time Turkish League champion, two-time Adriatic League champion, and four-time Serbian League champion.
If he’s that good, the man would be untouchable and Buddy Hield would be on the trading block. He doesn’t play as good defensively as reported and the Kings haven’t sniffed the playoffs in his tenure on the team.
Wouldn’t you rather deal with Kyle Kuzma? A player that is constantly improving at a quicker rate than Bogdanovic at a cheaper price? ESPN’s Zach Lowe breaks down the asking price.
"“The Kings should get something good for Bogdanovic — at least a first-round pick. They can wait and see if offers fatten closer to the deadline. At that point, it’s time to decide if the return outweighs the benefits of re-signing Bogdanovic.”"
Reminder: There is no first-round picks due to the Stepien Rule.

Kyle Kuzma is considered family to the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s not going anywhere!
Lake Show Life realizes that there are many reports out there trying to make the situation harder than it is. This is really simple if you use common sense. Let’s look at the full picture, shall we? Let’s take this further than the hardwood.
- Would it make sense to making a trade right now while the entire organization is still trying to support each other grieving the loss of their greatest icon in Kobe Bryant?
- Does it seem kinda harsh to imagine the Lakers trading the one player in Kuzma that looked up to Bryant the most while being mentored before his death? Plus, Kuzma seems to be living by some of the Mamba Mentality codes it seems.
Kyle Kuzma was asked about what he’s learned about being in trade talks throughout his career: “Kob always used to tell me if they aren’t talking about you, you should be worried. And I’m the talk of the town, so...”

It’s sad that NBA 2K and the ESPN Trade Machine has taken up as much of Lakers rumors as the media these days, but that is now the case. It has taken out the human element of how teams make moves these days.
Considering how much Kuzma has immersed himself to the organization with his work ethic and constant improvement, Rob Pelinka for the 756,754th time will not give up his biggest draft diamonds.
In other news, Robert Covington can officially be crossed off the list. Adrian Wojnarowski dropped another bomb on Tuesday night. I guess Lake Show Life was right about Covington not coming to L.A.
ESPN Sources: 4-team trade agreement: Houston: Robert Covington; Atlanta: Clint Capela and Nene; Minnesota: Malik Beasley, Juancho Hernangomez, Evan Turner, ATL 1st round pick via Nets; Denver: Gerald Green, Houston FRP.

Understand that there will be plenty more rumors about Kuzma over the next few days, and this site will be here to break down every rumor until the trade deadline.
