NBA All-Star Game: 4 lessons from Team LeBron victory over Team Giannis
By Ronald Agers
This game was to honor Kobe Bryant. Luckily the players understood it based on the way they played.
It was enough to honor Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna by using the numbers 24 (For Kobe!) and 2 (For Gianna!) in the 2020 All-Star game. It was cool for NBA commissioner Adam Silver to name the MVP award after the NBA icon. It’s another to bring a level of intensity to the game to make the Mamba proud.
It’s easy to put together concerts to spotlight Kobe Bryant like Chance the Rapper did here. By the way, he did an amazing job. A recommended listen.
In this game, nobody cheated on it with sloppy play. Everyone played the game the way Kobe would have wanted the game played. Hard.
Congratulations to Team LeBron for the victory. Chicago Scholars got a serious windfall for charity. The NBA deserves a lot of credit for trying an idea from a summer league tournament that many people do not know about. The NBA All-Star game is back.
The Los Angeles Lakers are back in action on Friday. Lake Show Life will have post-game reports with video analysis.
