Don’t take AD for granted

Anthony Davis was just AD. Just like another game on the schedule, he put up numbers. Davis filled the box scores with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks. The dude was so efficient, outside of his defensive presence, you tend to look and his numbers and actually wonder where they came from. He picked his spots and scored when the team really needed a basket. Since it was a blowout, the team really didn’t need much in his 25 minutes of play.

Really? This is a 7 foot power forward shooting over perfect defense and the ball didn’t touch the rim. Put this guy next to the best center tandem in the NBA and teams just won’t score much. At least the Warriors didn’t in the second half. The Los Angeles Lakers allowed 17 points in the 3rd and 4th quarters. This just in to Lake Show Life. That’s pretty good defense.

JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard were totally unfair to the Golden State front line. They combined to shoot 9-10 from the field (Mostly dunks!) and Dwight shot well from the free throw line, knocking down 5-7. For Howard, that’s Steph Curry like.

In other news:

  • The Los Angeles Lakers are up 3-0 in the season series, It’s the first victory in the season series vs. Golden State since Dwight Howard was wearing number 12 back in the 2012-13 season.
  • The Lakers swept the Warriors on their home floor for the first time since 2011-12.
  • The Los Angeles Lakers are riding a seven game winning streak and nine of their last ten.
  • This is the NBA version of the road warriors. They own a 24-5 record.

If the Los Angeles Lakers can slide by this weekend back to back game (Oh they are 8-0 in the second game of back to backs!), there might not be a loss coming for a while.
