– Saddiq Bey
One of the top players in the Big East this season comes from one of the best programs in the country over the past few years. Every year, Villanova puts out a good team, as Jay Wright continues to cement himself as one of the best coaches in the country.
Over the past few seasons, we have seen Villanova produce some good NBA players, and the Lakers are certainly familiar with Josh Hart. Like many of the other Nova players to be drafted in recent years, Bey isn’t a one and done player. Bey has now played at Villanova for two full seasons, and that is a lot of time to learn from one of the best coaches in the country.
In his sophomore season, Bey has taken a big leap, as he has doubled his points per game from his freshman season. This season, Bey is averaging 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
The efficiency of Bey from the field makes him a very appealing prospect, as he is shooting just over 50 percent from the field and over 45 percent from three-point range. At 6’8”, Bey can play multiple positions and space the floor, as his game should translate nicely to the next level. Even though he wasn’t a superstar freshman, Bey has all the makings of another strong pro to come from Villanova.
