Yes, LeBron James blew the layup with 10 seconds to go, but he also was the only one to play well the whole game.

LeBron James was listed with a sore groin and was questionable coming into this game. He gutted it out and did his part to continue his domination on anyone that tries to stop him in the post. At the beginning of the game, LeBron James has stopped bailing teams out shooting the long ball instead attacking the rim with driving layups and plays like this here against Caris LeVert.

Understand that Caris LeVert came into this game on fire including a 51-point smacking of the Boston Celtics recently. Basically LeBron turned him into buzzard meat when he put his patented spin move on him sealing him off for the basket.

We have stated time and time again that no one in the NBA can stop this dude when he backs down smaller players with his low post moves.

James filled up the box score with 29 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. He hit four shots from the land of the extra point and ran the offense efficiently with only 3 turnovers. He even played strong defense diving on the floor for loose balls.

This is a 35 year old in his 17th year in the league diving on the floor sacrificing his body. To all the people who say So? That’s what you are supposed to do, there are NBA players that in their 17th week that aren’t willing to do this.

So LeBron blew a layup at the end of the game. Hey, it happens to everyone. That’s not a concern. The free throws on the other hand is a major problem. Coming into this game, James had hit 24 of 29 free throws in the last two games. In this game, he was 1-5 and missed his first four free throws. This is not going to get it.

But bottom line, he played well the entire time he was on the floor. Considering that Anthony Davis had a slow start, the fact that the games was close shows how well the man played.

Speaking of Anthony Davis, let’s discuss him next.
