– Strong shooter

After James’ first season with the Lakers, it was clear that the Lakers didn’t do a very good job surrounding him with shooters. The Lakers were one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the league last season, and fixing that was a priority of the Lakers this past summer.

Adding Green helped the Lakers improve in that area. Green has the reputation as one of the best shooters in the NBA, and he has done well for the Lakers so far this season. Before the suspension, Green was shooting 41.9 percent from deep.

Throughout his career, James has been at his best with players that can spread the floor and shoot the ball. Green has been a great spot-up shooter in his career with great players like Kawhi Leonard and the Big 3 in San Antonio.

In the playoffs, Green doesn’t see his shooting numbers drop off all that much, as he is shooting 39.7 percent from deep. Green isn’t afraid of taking the big shot with a playoff game hanging in the balance.

As we have seen in the past, James could very well make a pass to a guy like Green with the game on the line. For the Lakers, they should feel comfortable with him being able to make the shot in a big spot.
