LeBron James misses playing basketball and Los Angeles Lakers fans during the NBA’s suspension.

With the NBA season being suspended, Los Angeles Lakers fans are waiting patiently to see their team back on the court. It is hard enough for the team to not be playing games, but when a team is playing as good as the Lakers were, it is even more disappointing.

The Lakers are leading the Western Conference by 5.5 games over the LA Clippers when the NBA suspended operations. They had the second-best record in the league, with the only the Milwaukee Bucks having a better one.

Fans aren’t alone about their displeasure with the league being suspended. Yes, it was the right thing to do, but that doesn’t mean people aren’t disappointed. The fans aren’t alone in that sentiment, as the players are also disappointed.

In a recent Instagram live, LeBron James shared some of his feelings about the NBA suspension. He said that he misses playing basketball and the fans of the team. In addition, James felt the Lakers were just hitting their stride.

"“Am I enjoying the break? No. No. I miss playing ball. I miss doing what I do. I miss being in front the Laker faithful, I miss being in front of the opposing fans when I’m on the road. You know, we was at a point in the season where we were hitting our stride, you know, gearing up towards the playoffs, but the good thing about is that I’m getting a lot of family time. Time that I would never be able to get at this point in the season. But I love what I do, man. Everything is in place when we’re all doing what we gotta do.”"

James already had a prominent presence on social media, being one of the most recognizable basketball stars, but people in general in the world. Since the suspension, we have seen him on social media a few times.

He shared a video of him passing time by watching his old highlights. In another Instagram live, James revealed that he is hoping to spend the remainder of his career in the purple and gold with the Lakers.

Hopefully, the return of James and the Lakers to the court comes sooner than later. The team was playing well before things were suspended and they are one of the true title contenders this season.

After suffering through the worst six-season stretch in franchise history, it was nice to see the team playing so well and clinching a playoff berth for the first time since 2013.

Hopefully, they will be able to compete for an NBA title sometime this summer. Playing later into the summer, whether it be July or August, is better than not playing at all for the 2019-20 NBA Championship.
