1. LeBron James outduels Luka Doncic — Los Angeles Lakers at Dallas Mavericks, November 1, 2019
There may have still been Los Angeles Lakers naysayers when the team made their come-from-behind win against the Bulls in early November but they all should have been converted on November 1, which was a great game not only for LeBron James but for the entire team.
This was also LeBron’s best game of the year statistically, as he posted the highest game score of the year in this game. We did not go solely off of game score to determine this ranking, but it is fitting that his best game is his most impressive.
Just as a pure basketball fan this game was so much fun to watch. The Mavericks and the Lakers battled back and forth and woven into the game was this battle between Luka Doncic, who is one of the brightest young stars in the league, and LeBron, who is, well, LeBron.
Regulation ended not with a LeBron James shot but an assist from James to brand-new Laker Danny Green, who buried a corner three as time expired to send the game into overtime. Talk about a way to win over a new fanbase.
The Lakers were too much for Dallas in overtime as they ended up pulling away and winning by nine in one of the most exciting games of the entire season.
LeBron played over 42 minutes in this game and scored 39 points alongside assists and 12 rebounds. He also recorded the second-most steals in a game for him this season with four.
This was the perfect table-setter for what has been a very fun season for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers thus far.
