2. Archie Clark

Archie Clark was an NBA All-Star four times throughout his career but was only named an all-star once with the team that drafted him, the Los Angeles Lakers. In fact, Clark had a very short tenure with the Lakers, as he ended up only playing two seasons in Los Angeles.

Clark was never viewed as a franchise-building piece as he was selected in the fourth round of the 1966 NBA Draft. However, out of all of the players that the Lakers drafted that year, Clark had the longest and largest impact, it just hurts that most of it was with other teams.

Clark had a pretty decent rookie season, averaging 10.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game as the team’s primary shooting guard and then took a massive leap in year two.

His minutes played per game jumped from 23.2 to 37.5 and his scoring jumped to 19.9 points per game alongside 4.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists. He would be named to the All-Star Game alongside teammates Elgin Baylor and Jerry West.

It was not all for naught, though, as Clark was part of the trade package that landed Wilt Chamberlain, which is perhaps why he is so easily forgotten.

He played eight more years in the NBA, was an all-star three more times and averaged as much as 25.2 points per game with the 76ers.

With the Lakers, he had one decent and one all-star season. That is it.
