LeBron James: Does he really want to finish the season out or not?
By Ronald Agers
Get used to this Lakers fans. There will be a lot of slow NBA news days!
Lake Show Life just broke down two months worth of NBA news in the second paragraph of the first page. Sadly, that list of news cannot be recycled to TV and radio broadcast stations.
NBA writers (Lake Show Life included!) cannot meet the 300 minimum word requirement or keep any of your interest to come back stating those facts every day. Our job is to report, but more importantly, entertain you with interesting sports content.
That’s just what Ric Bucher did.
Speak for Yourself has to fill hours of sports content from somewhere that will draw attention to their show. If LeBron James stans get mad over what they see on social media, they watch the show to bash it.
Welcome to television promotion 101.
LeBron James has been broken during his career (Boston and Golden State) when all was lost, but this narrative won’t fly at all. LeBron James does know that his time to get another ring in the purple and gold is running short. Canceling the season will do more harm than good.
Is James a savvy guy that likes to control narratives in the media? Sure. But he is not powerful enough to control an entire league by himself. Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell are on the shortlist with that type of influence.
But for every Ric Bucher that bashes LeBron James, you have Shannon Sharpe that will build him right back up.
To the Lake Show Life readers:
The NBA will be out for quite a while. There is no idea when or IF the season will resume. Lake Show Life wants to provide an outlet for Lakers fans. If there is a story, documentary, possible college prospect that you want to know about, leave it in the comment section. We want to give you the best possible entertaining Los Angeles Lakers content possible.
