Power Forward: Killian Tillie, Gonzaga
Honorable Mention: Precious Achiuwa, Tres Tinkle
I’m going to give it to you straight. While he is not the best prospect in this class, Killian Tillie is my favorite prospect in this class. The Gonzaga center/power forward can pretty much do it all as a stretch big man.
He averaged 13.6-5.0-1.9 with 1.8 stocks per game in just 24.6 minutes per night. Tillie was also an excellent three-point shooter at high volume for the Bulldogs, making 1.5 threes on 3.8 attempts per night, good for a 40.0 percent from beyond the arc.
Tillie could fit the Lakers rotation right now and provide them with a stretch big that they seem to be missing at the moment. Tillie is also 22 years old already so he is NBA-ready which fits the team well. He can play the five just fine, but he looks more like a four
Precious Achiuwa of Memphis is more raw and likely will go a few picks ahead of the Lakers at pick 29, but the Lakers will likely look to Tillie instead if they want to find a four. Tres Tinkle of Oregon State is an NBA-ready body who is a solid shooter and defender down low.
