C: Brian Cook (39.2%)
Brian Cook is another forgettable Laker to make this team but when it comes to shooting big men in Lakers history, it does not get any more efficient than Brian Cook. Of any Laker with at least 200 three-point shots attempted, at any position, Cook has the second-highest three-point percentage behind Radmanovic.
Cook primarily played power forward for most of his career but actually came into the league as a center with the Los Angeles Lakers. His move to power forward was to go along with his shooting and size, but in today’s NBA, Cook could easily be a stretch-five center at 6’9″.
Cook played four and a half seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers with his first being the 2003-04 season, which was Shaq’s last year with the team. Cook’s numbers jumped slightly after Shaq was traded, but he was never a huge role player for the Lakers.
Cook averaged 16 minutes per game with the Lakers, shooting just 1.6 three-point shots per game and averaging 6.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. He shot above 40 percent in two of his Lakers seasons, although he only averaged 1.0 and 1.8 threes per game in those seasons.
Cook went on to play all the way until the 2011-2012 season and he finished his career as a 38.2 percent three-point shooter.
Cook was a solid shooter for his size and if he would have come into the league 10 years later then he probably would have been utilized much differently. However, here he gets the nod as the starting center in our all-time three-point shooting team.
