PF: Jamaal Wilkes

Another member of the Showtime Lakers makes the team and like Michael Cooper, Jamaal Wilkes can be a bit overlooked in Lakers’ history. However, he has still gotten his due credit, as he does have his number retired with the Lakers and is a Hall of Famer.

Wilkes played eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and was a part of three of the five championship-winning teams during the Showtime era. While he never as a big box score stuffer, Wilkes made his presence known and still retired with an impressive resume.

As a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, Wilkes averaged 18.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He was named to two All-Defensive teams in his career and was voted as an all-star twice as a Laker.

It is important to note that this all-time California Lakers team is a bit small in size. While Wilkes played both forward positions, he is a bit undersized to be a four as he is only 6’6″.

However, with all of the talent on the roster, this team would be just fine running a little small. Wilkes is a Hall of Famer for a reason and would be a great two-way addition to this team that is absolutely capable of defending opposing fours.

Wilkes was born in Berkeley.
