The Los Angeles Lakers are resuming their season at Disney World.

Typically, a trip to Disney World is reserved for the team that wins the Super Bowl and gets to yell out the most infamous post-game phrase in sports “I’m going to Disney World!”

Now, the basketball players are getting their shot to visit Disney World. Except it won’t be after winning the championship and it won’t just be one team, as the league plans to resume the season in July at the Disney World complex in Orlando Florida.

Disney World provided a ‘bubble city’ for the NBA to operate in. With courts already established in the area as well as plenty of housing (hotels) and accommodations, players (and hopefully at least a portion of their families) can call this bubble city home while the season resumes. Nobody in, nobody out.

The exact details of the season are unclear. We do not yet know if the league plans on having a short regular season to get guys back in shape and work out the standings, will just have a preseason, or will just jump straight into the playoffs.

If the league jumps into the playoffs, there is the possibility of simply seeding the top-16 teams in the league and getting rid of the conferences for this year, which would be something that would dramatically change the Los Angeles Lakerspath to the NBA Finals.

From a logistic standpoint, you could make plenty of pros and cons of the season resuming and whether or not it is the smart/safe thing to do.

What we are interested in is the pros and cons from a pure basketball standpoint for the Los Angeles Lakers. And quite frankly, we could really only come up with one of each.
