Con: It takes away the Los Angeles Lakers’ home-court advantage over the Clippers
Every NBA fan was gearing up for the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers to indulge in an epic NBA Playoffs series. If the league keeps the playoffs as is then the Lakers and Clippers will still likely meet in the Western Conference Finals. If the league goes with a 1-16 seeding then the Clippers will have to get through the Bucks to face the Lakers in the NBA Finals.

Either way, the game is going to be held in a neutral site with no fans in attendance, taking away the unprecedented home-court advantage that the Lakers were going to have in the playoffs against the Clippers.
The Lakers were going to become the first-ever playoff team to have seven home playoff games in a single series.
It does not matter how many fans the Clippers are gaining from Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and how much they want to act like the fanbases are equal in size — Laker fans dwarf Clipper fans. It is not an insult, it is just the truth.
The Los Angeles Lakers have one of the biggest fanbases in all of American sports. The Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees and Los Angeles Lakers. That is the big three.
So while the Clippers would have been slated for three home games, they really would have been playing every game in that series in an arena that would have been 75 percent Laker fans. The only saving grace would have been the season-ticket holders, but plenty of those are owned by re-sellers who own them because they use to be so cheap for so long.
No traveling in the other playoff series is nice, but losing out in watching the spectacle of Laker fans taking over Staples Center in a ‘Clippers home game’ is a bummer.
