1. The Los Angeles Lakers have playoff Rondo and playoff Davis

We already dove into the numbers in how Anthony Davis and Rajon Rondo play significantly better in the playoffs in this article, so there is no point in completely rehashing the numbers-side of it.

Most great players get better when the playoffs roll around and that is not an unfair expectation to have. When the going gets tough, the tough get going and we often see the league’s premier superstars hit an entirely new level once the playoffs start.

That is the same for Davis, who has been tremendous in the playoffs. If you think Davis is great now then just wait until the playoffs. The team is going to be feeding Davis the ball more and the gap between him and every other big that the Lakers will play in the Western Conference side of the playoffs is going to be enormous.

There really is not anyone in the West that is going to be able to stop playoff Davis. Sure, you could put Kawhi Leonard on Davis but that is going to give the Lakers a size or matchup advantage somewhere else and free up LeBron James.

That is literally the only player that might be able to contain Davis and it will come at the cost of opening things up for James.

Rondo is an x-factor as if playoff Rondo truly does show up then the Lakers are going to have another great ball-handler that can take over games and quite literally swing the result of games when the stars are out of the game.

Rondo very well could become the most important role/bench player in the playoffs and with the experience that he has under his belt and the way he steps it up in the playoffs, he very well could be the Fred VanVleet of this year’s playoffs that we look back on and realize how big of an impact he really had.
