The Los Angeles Lakers’ starting lineup:

  • PG: Avery Bradley
  • SG: Danny Green
  • SF: LeBron James
  • PF: Anthony Davis
  • C: JaVale McGee

This is the lineup that has been used the most by the Los Angeles Lakers this season (388 total minutes played together) and it likely will be the starting lineup that they implement in the playoffs.

There is an old adage: ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’.

This lineup makes the most sense for the Los Angeles Lakers as starting lineup as Kyle Kuzma is better off coming off the bench and this gives the team the opportunity for LeBron to start the game as the typical facilitator while having two guards who could hit three-point shots and play good defense.

Now, it is important to note that the team is still not 100 percent sure if Avery Bradley is going to play in Orlando, as he has been one of the most outspoken players, alongside Kyrie Irving, about returning to play.

If it is not Bradley in this lineup then it should be Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, not Rajon Rondo. This exact lineup with KCP at point guard is the second-most used lineup by the Lakers this season, and while I don’t think the two will be the two most used in the playoffs, it will be one or the other.

This should not be the lineup that closes out games and it will be tweaked against certain teams, which brings us to the two other lineups that should see high usage.
