1. Patrick Beverley – Iago (Aladdin)
Why he’s a Laker villain
It’s not even worth pulling up every quote that proves this point, because Pat Beverley talks an absurd amount of trash about the Los Angeles Lakers. However, a recent gem was where he claimed that “It’s no challenge to guard LeBron James“, a laughable statement considering that James had just gone for 28 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, and two blocks in a 112-103 victory over Bev’s Clippers.
Why I chose this Disney villain to represent him
Patrick Beverley may be a great defensive guard, but with a season average of 7.9 points per game, he is a complete afterthought on offense. The best villains inspire awe and fear in those who dare oppose them, whereas Beverley plays more of a sidekick role for the Los Angeles Clippers.
That’s why I’ve not only made Bev the sidekick of a primary villain, but the villain’s sidekick who talks more than any other in the Disney universe, Aladdin’s Iago. If running your mouth on and off the basketball court were a sport, with all due respect to Draymond Green, Patrick Beverley would win first prize hands down. What better sidekick to represent him than a wise-cracking, sarcastic, mouthy parrot that doesn’t know when to stop talking?
