Danny Green needs to be benched. For who? Who cares! The Los Angeles Lakers need to bench Danny Green!

The comment sections for the Lake Show Life Lessons post games sometimes are better than the articles. The regular fans are knowledgeable and provide just as much analysis as the staff does. For most of the year, Rajon Rondo was a major topic of discussion. Now that he is gone, Danny Green will be on the hot seat.

There have been two loyal readers that have gone back and forth on the importance of Danny Green. Their account names are “Slick” and “McKinley Webb”. Slick has criticized Danny Green since the beginning of the season, while McKinley defends him. Here’s a snippet of their conversation in the last post-game report.

Slick:

Last thing…. Danny Green….Danny Green…where forth arth thou Danny Green?

McKinley Webb:

The Lakers are 17-2 with the starting lineup of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Anthony Davis, Danny Green, LeBron James, and JaVale McGee.

He also still has the best +/- on the team behind LeBron…He will always be one of those players that does a lot of things that go unnoticed…that does not show up in the boxscore

The previous 3 games he shot 50% at 8 for 16, so we will see if this continues…

Well, well, it didn’t continue in this game! Danny Green scored the same amount of points Lake Show Life did putting this report together and you the reader did perusing it.

Slick is not alone with the displeasure of Danny Green’s play. Trending on Twitter for going 0-7 from the field (0-6 in 3 point shots!) and missing his only two free throws is not a good thing. Like these for example. Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.

Oh, the Raptors fans are talking trash too!

Helped us as a Raptor! Helped us as a Laker! Real one!

Sure, this looks like a Danny Green bashing show to some. That’s because it is. Good luck defending a player with these stats against a team the Los Angeles Lakers could meet in the NBA Finals. Here’s what Danny Green has accomplished against the World Champions without Kawhi Leonard being involved.

Danny Green’s production in 2 games played.

  • 0 points
  • 6 rebounds
  • 2 assists
  • 0-12 shooting
  • 0-10 from the three-point line
  • 47 total minutes
  • $14 million dollars

All of this coupled with the fact that his lazy defense got Kyle Lowry going (33 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists!) leads to this point. Danny Green has to be benched. He’s a liability that has been getting exposed since the Los Angeles Lakers started playing different opponents.

Maybe Green should be benched for this guy.
