At least one of the “Flintstones” showed up for the Los Angeles Lakers!

The “Flintstones” moniker is for players from Flint Michigan. They are tough-minded and are the essence of street ballers close to Canada. JaVale McGee and Kyle Kuzma are both from the area.

JaVale wasn’t effective in his 10 minutes. Let’s move on.

Kyle Kuzma is knocking on the door to possibly being a starter if he commits to rebounding and defending. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has underachieved and we are not going back down the Danny Green road again. Kyle Kuzma was one of the few Lakers players that competed in this game for every second that he was on the floor.

In 28 minutes, Kuz scored 16 points (5-13 shooting!) with 4 rebounds, 1 assist and a block. The unknown question is his confidence going forward in his first playoff experience. But he has got to find a way to be able to play with both stars to start games. He can put the ball on the floor score and get his own shot, something Green can’t do.

Plus he’s a bigger body who can rough up opposing guards if he puts forth the effort. Foul trouble kept him neutralized some in this game but he knocked down three 3 point shots at important times to keep the Lakers somewhere close.

If the Los Angeles Lakers refuse to bench Danny Green, let’s discuss how it affects Anthony Davis.
