Danny Green needs to be benched. Replaced. Someone else starting. Who? Who cares?

At this point, some can assume that Danny Green is in a slump and will basically shoot his way out eventually. Others think he can’t shoot a lick and is being exposed on a game by game basis. Either way, Danny Green no longer deserves a spot in the starting lineup. There are four games left before the playoffs. Nobody from the Los Angeles Lakers franchise has figured this out yet?

Right now the Lakers Nation will believe that Green is the center of the Lakers’ 3-point shooting woes. That’s not true. KCP is not much better. The staff will know who watched the game live and who just looked at the box score just to join the conversation in the comment section.  Danny Green led the Lakers in 3-point makes with two in the game. Now let’s take a closer look at that narrative.

  • It took seven attempts for him to get there.
  • One of the shots he hit was when the Lakers were behind and the other was when the game was basically over.
  • His defense reminds people of a bank security guard that is in on the bank robbery. The currency? The paint on the way to the rim. He doesn’t stop anyone.

Here’s visual proof that if Danny Green is not a rock bottom yet, he’s close.

To think that he missed the lay-up so badly, LeBron James and the Lakers demanded to look at instant replay because they thought he was fouled. They wasted a timeout watching Green miss a lay-up by seven feet. For anyone that is wondering, Danny Green could have been honest and said nobody fouled him. Just saying.

Lake Show Life has a feature about who on the roster can replace Danny Green in the starting lineup. Please read. Then pray. As long as Danny Green is in the starting backcourt, the stars had better play lights out. Not well, but lights out.

Speaking of stars!
