Los Angeles Lakers: 3 Lessons in season finale loss to Sacramento Kings
By Ronald Agers
LeBron James did not get hurt. That’s the lesson!
There was no reason to justify why LeBron James was on the floor. If this is to prove a point about “Load Management”, whomever made this decision, whether it be LeBron, the coaching staff or the NBA, you should be ashamed. This is getting ridiculous.
If this is to take a shot at Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers, nothing was achieved but showing fear and concern.
Is this the case? We don’t know. But for the record, this was going to be said. The Los Angeles Lakers have too much to lose having your franchise player out playing in a meaningless game. He should have been sitting next to Anthony Davis doing this.
Now that we are off the soapbox, LeBron James did play efficiently while he was on the floor. In 15 minutes, James dropped a quick stat-line of 17 points (6-13 shooting 2-5 from distance!),3 rebounds and 4 assists!
Can’t say everything was smooth, just look at the OOPS! OOPS! LeBron James had finishing at the rim.
Look this is all in fun and everybody misses lay-ups from time to time. The main thing is that he did not aggravate any injuries.
To close his 17th season, LeBron James averaged 25.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and led the NBA in assists with 10.3. Another milestone at 35 years old, LeBron is the oldest player ever to lead the league in assists for the first time in their career.
He joined Kareem Abdul Jabbar is the only players to score 1500 points in 17 seasons!
Someone check his birth certificate!
Folks, this Dion Waiters dude can put up numbers.
