Message to Los Angeles Lakers opponents. Don’t put a guard on this man! You will lose!

It’s hard to put an entire series loss on one player. But in this case, Gary Trent Jr. made a colossal mistake in an unwritten basketball rule.

Do not, in any certain terms, start exchanging words with superstars. Ask any of the NBA players of the ’90s how it works out when you irritated Michael Jordan!

Lake Show Life knew the shift happened in game two when LeBron only scored 10 points. When he exchanged words with Trent Jr., he took him to the post, never left and the Los Angeles Lakers have not looked back since.

LeBron James has basically turned the Blazers franchise into the LeBrontland Trail Blazers because he is abusing them much like he did the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference. In 28 minutes, he dropped 30 points (10-12 shooting, 4-5 from the land of the extra point!), 6 rebounds and 10 assists. He cleaned up his free throw shooting and had only two turnovers.

The Blazers INSIST on putting Trent on him and every time it’s a BBQ chicken alert for the defense. He is carving them up and now the shooters have more time to shoot and they are knocking down shots (More on that later!).

If you are James Harden, Chris Paul, Dennis Schroder, Shai Gilgeous Alexander, Russell Westbrook or especially Patrick Beverley, Lake Show Life has some advice.

Don’t guard this man because it’ll be a long night and shut up. You might piss the man off!

There’s really nothing else to talk about for the rest of the series at this point.

Remember the time the TNT crew had this interview with Kobe Bryant?

After that laughter, we really could stop, but there are more lessons to get through. Go ahead and hit the purple “next” bar for the next lesson!
