Sound the alarms! The Los Angeles Lakers can shoot straight from the 3 point line!

One of the reasons why many thought the Lakers were in trouble was because flat out, nobody could hit a 3 point shot! Now that LeBron James took residence in the post, the flood gates finally opened. The Los Angeles Lakers set a franchise record for 3 pointers with 17.

Kyle Kuzma led the Lakers with five 3 pointers, continuing the dominance after the two superstars sat down for the night.

He finished with 18 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

For the last few Lake Show Life Lessons reports, we have pulled reader comments out of the comment section to be a part of the coverage. Man, no one and the staff means no one deserves this spot more than McKinley Webb (Aka Kinfolk!), who was the last guy to defend Danny Green. Lake Show Life wanted him benched in the worst way.

But McKinley stuck by this dude to the point of ridicule.

McKinley Webb:

"I know I will never convince anyone…I can’t force you to see what you cannot see…but the Lakers are going to need Danny Green for the playoffs whether you guys like it or not…With all the different back court players the Lakers will face, it will be hands on deck…There is no way that he will be benched or not play at all…Just not happening…I will stick by my convictions…and again, as I have said all season…many of his contributions come from things that don’t show up in the box score…"

Danny Green had a coming-out party that probably will have McKinley waiting for this post-game report just to say “I told you so”, but he owns the right in this case. Danny Green was balling!

Danny Green:

In 25 minutes, Green dropped 14 points (On 5-8 shooting and 3-4 from the land of the extra point!), 4 rebounds (All offensive rebounds!), 2 blocks with an assist and steal! He had a plus/minus of +29!!! Where has this dude been all our lives?

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope:

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was just as efficient in the starting backcourt, scoring 12 points (5-8 shooting and 2-4 from distance!) and playing strong defense.

There have been huge debates on who should be benched or who’s minutes will be docked when Rajon Rondo gets back. Well if these two continue to shoot like this over a three-game period…

  • Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in the last three games from deep: 9-18
  • Danny Green in the last three games from deep: 6-12

It won’t be these two.

If the Lakers win Game 5 (Check that, WHEN!) they’ll have a few days to find out which team they’ll play in the Western Conference semifinals, as the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder are tied at two games apiece. A perfect time to rest up some of the players, most notably Rajon Rondo, LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

We hope you enjoyed a special Mamba Day edition of Lake Show Life Lessons! This man touched us all. The blueprint of this series is based off his Detail series on ESPN+ years ago. He showed that this game went far beyond analytics, hot takes and false narratives based on video clips. He delved in the essence of the game. We at Lake Show Life hope we are doing him proud.

Next. How AD found his mamba mentality. dark

We send prayers to his wife Vanessa and his three surviving daughters, Capri, Bianka and Natalia.

We close with a message from the Icon.
