Kyle Kuzma needs to leave that competition with Michael Porter Jr. alone!

Kyle Kuzma and Michael Porter Jr. are mirror images of each other. Much more than people realize.

  • Both are going to be a part of their respective team’s future.
  • Both can shoot the ball!
  • The potential of these guys is off the charts!

Lake Show Life has been very complimentary of Kuz’s poise for most of the playoffs. In this game he was terrible. Porter got it going a little bit scoring 15 points and was a part of the Nuggets run in the second half. A couple of times when Porter scored on Kuzma he went back down the court and took bad shots.

  • One was a bad miss.
  • The second led to an offensive foul.

Kyle Kuzma has to be smarter than this. He can’t be baited into a one on one matchup in the middle of the game. Period. Let the stars set the table and let the offense work for him. Michael Porter Jr. is an atrocious defender. If Kuz just relaxes, he could drop 10 points on him without breaking a sweat.

Other players of note!

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope:

KCP is balling with confidence folks. How do we know? That offensive foul in the first half showed how engaged he is on the defensive end. He is putting a body on the Nuggets guards. Jamal Murray maybe scoring but the rest of the backcourt stinks. He is a major contributor to this.

KCP’s 11 points is on the strength of hitting 3-5 from distance. The man is almost automatic from the right side of the floor!

Rajon Rondo:

Anthony Davis said this in the post-game interview about Rajon Rondo before his game-winner. He said that when Jokic scored on him, Rondo just said to get it back. This dude is the AD whisperer! Rondo continued his strong play with 9 assists! None was bigger than the one that set Davis up for the game-winner.

Bottom line, Rondo sees the finish line and a possible championship. He is the ultimate calming influence for this team. As bad as he was playing in the regular season, he is playing out of his mind now in the postseason!
