The Los Angeles Lakers may win this series but Jimmy Butler will kill “Load Management”!

It’s games like this where being in the media and being a fan totally crosses. Jimmy Butler is this writer’s favorite player in the NBA by far. There were prayers he would let up. He didn’t. This was the prime definition of not letting his team lose!

When other players act like they want to win and be tough, Jimmy Butler is actually that dude and more. But with a player like this, some teams don’t understand or can’t relate.

The Chicago Bulls traded him to the Minnesota Timberwolves on draft night because they didn’t want to give him a max deal. The Bulls have stunk up the NBA ever since. The front office has been replaced.

The Minnesota Timberwolves gave Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins max deals. They didn’t give Jimmy one. He destroyed the starters and demanded to be traded. Minnesota stunk before he got there and are worse after he left. Tom Thibodeau (Coach and GM ) was fired!

It was reported that Brett Brown didn’t want to coach Jimmy Butler in Philadelphia because he was too opinionated. Butler said the 76ers wasn’t serious about winning. (Brett Brown was fired and Elton Brand is on the hot seat!).

After this game here, anybody smell anything fishy here? Maybe the problems don’t lie at Jimmy Butler’s feet.

Load management is dead in the NBA folks. It’s games like this that puts it on life support. In 48 seconds shy of 48 minutes, Jimmy Butler gave all of us business cards, scoring 35 points, grabbing 12 rebounds (5 offensive!), swiped 5 steals and dishing out 11 assists. At times he held his own guarding LeBron and AD.

He made a huge adjustment to the Lakers’ defense. In Game 4, Butler was being enticed to shoot as defenders went under picks. He didn’t take them. In this game, he took what the defense gave him. He didn’t score 40, but in some ways, if possible, Jimmy Butler showed more in this game than he did two games ago.

Jimmy Butler accounted for more points (11) in clutch-time than the Lakers by himself.

He has now made history with two 35+ point triple-doubles in the NBA Finals

  • 40 PTS, 11 REB, 13 AST in Game 3
  • 35 PTS, 12 REB, 11 AST in Game 5

Jimmy Butler became the 6th player in NBA Finals history to have multiple triple-doubles in the same title series: Magic Johnson and LeBron James have both done it 3 times, while Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain and Draymond Green have done it once.

Can he put on this type of performance on Sunday? He has no choice.

The Los Angeles Lakers have a player like Jimmy Butler! He was the only player that could even reside in Jimmy Butler’s stratosphere that includes his historical achievement! Read on to see what this player did!
